For this assignment, search the internet and locate a suicide risk assessment instrument (website, quiz, questionnaire, etc) and discuss the risk factors for suicide that are identified in the assessment. What role does depression play in suicide in regards to one’s age, gender, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status?

How do these particular variables correlate to, and what impact do they have on suicide rates? Additionally, based on the suicide risk assessment instrument you selected, discuss what you would say or do in response to someone you know who is having difficulties with interpersonal style, emotional regulation, or impulse control. How would you react to someone who was threatening suicide in an overly dramatic way?

Your paper should be two to three pages (excluding title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

You must utilize at least two peer-reviewed journal articles that were published within the last five years to support your discussion (in addition to the selected suicide risk assessment instrument that you identify). All sources must be cited according to APA format.
