Select any two assigned readings from the Week 2 Required Reading List and create a 2-3 page (500 word minimum) compare/contrast essay. Explore how each writer communicates their message emotionally, psychologically, and intellectually using the point method of development.

Your essay will follow this format:

Introduction that ends with a thesis statement.

Supporting paragraph 1: Focused on the emotional message of each literary work and what similarities or differences exist between the two works.

·Supporting paragraph 2: Focused on the psychological message of each literary work and what similarities or differences exist between the two works.

·Supporting paragraph 3: Focused on the intellectual message of each literary work and what similarities or differences exist between the two works.

·Conclusion that ties up any loose ends and restates the thesis.

In this type of essay, you will need to directly engage the text by providing short direct quotes from the reading in each supporting paragraph and citing those passages using APA format. Do not quote large blocks of text. Limit yourself to one cited sentence for every 5 sentences of paragraph.
