let's say I chose from Wikibook a section on
multiculturalism, then reading 2 will consist of another reading on
multiculturalism which challenges the views expressed in the
Wikibook's reading. And reading 3 will be a reading on
multiculturalism chosen by you, an article, chapter, or essay from
a newspaper, magazine; it can come from the web or a book or a
journal.
you can write more, debating which argument is better. It may
be that you disagree with reading 2, and decide to choose a reading
3 that makes more sense to you; then your journal should reflect
your reasons why the arguments in reading 3 make more sense than
the arguments in 2. Or, it may be the other way around, you
actually agree with the reading I chose, 2, and although you chose
a reading with a different view, 3, you may not agree with it, and
so you explain why. However, you may also choose a reading
which agrees with 2, and your notes then are about these two
readings say and why you agree with both.
